QtWinSoft designed software to control and manage the scanning process of a specialized Computed Tomography (CT) scanner dedicated exclusively to forearm and hand imaging. Our client, MARS Bioimaging Ltd., was founded in 2007 to commercialize the groundbreaking MARS Imaging System for medical diagnostic applications. The MARS Imaging System is built on the next-generation Medipix chip, licensed from CERN, Switzerland, and incorporates technology developed by the University of Canterbury (UC) and its partners.
Key Features & Functionality
- Patient Positioning & Visualization: Displays the real-time position of the patient’s arm during the scan. Allows users to adjust and resize the scanning area, which is visually highlighted on the UI.
- Scanning Capabilities: Supports both Axial and Helical scan modes for enhanced imaging flexibility. Automatically calculates and displays radiation exposure levels to ensure patient safety.
- Image Analysis & Diagnostic Tools: Enables radiologists to zoom in and out on scanned images for detailed analysis and improved diagnostics.
- System Control & Automation: Once the scan is completed, the radiologist can shut down the CT machine directly from the software, streamlining workflow efficiency.
